Luigi Ferraris (Terna) wins the 2018 Utility Manager – Energy Award

Luigi Ferraris, Terna CEO and General Manager, is the winner of the 2018 Utility Manager – Energy award, assigned by the Italian journal Management delle Utilities e delle Infrastrutture. The award, which recognizes Luigi Ferraris’ deep commitment “to Terna in promoting an increasingly sustainable, efficient, safe and innovative energy model“, has been presented on the 5th of March 2019 in Milan by ERG Executive Vice President and CEO, Alessandro Garrone and Luca Bettonte, who won the same award in 2018.

Terna CEO and General Manager since 2017, Luigi Ferraris expressed great pleasure for such a prestigious award, adding that the electricity system is a key and enabling driver of sustainable development for society and the territory. According to Terna CEO, the electricity system must be developed through investments which must be aimed at the communities’ safety, through the implementation of new and innovative ways of dialogue and collaboration.
Luigi Ferraris also highlighted Terna’s relevant role in the energy transition that involves the entire sector, stating that “the electricity system is one of the crucial tools for achieving the targets set out in the Energy and Climate Plan“. The Italian top manager expressed his will to share the award with all of his partners “who continue to work with the dedication, passion and commitment required to make this possible“.
