Terna: CEO and General Manager Luigi Ferraris among the 100 most influential Business People in Italy

He has been at Terna‘s helm since 2017. The figures indicate that Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Ferraris has coordinated the Group’s growth in recent years. And that’s not all: with Luigi Ferraris, the company has achieved significant, globally recognized goals, including in terms of sustainability. The CEO and GM has stressed his focus on sustainability on several occasions. This has tangibly resulted in the launch of an investment plan for the five-year period from 2019-2023 that is the highest ever in the Group’s history. It was designed to accompany the country into the energy transition towards achieving an important and ambitious objective such as decarbonisation.
He is a top manager, acknowledged and included by “Business People” among the one hundred most influential personalities on the Italian economic scene. The “100% Business People in Italy”, now in its third edition, is more “a gauge of the top managers and entrepreneurs” than an actual ranking. As the magazine says, “readers will find professional backgrounds, goals achieved and challenges on the horizon for each of the hundred protagonists of our country’s economy”.
Luigi Ferraris is included in this group: before coming to Terna, he was with PriceWaterhouse and has held managerial posts at Agusta, Piaggio VE, Sasib Beverage and Elsag Bailey Process Automation. He was also Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Elsacom, a Finmeccanica Group company, and from 1999 to 2015 he worked at Enel as Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of Enel Green Power. As the Chief Financial Officer of the Poste Italiane Group from February 2015 to April 2017, he coordinated this organisations’s privatisation and listing on the stock exchange. He joined Terna in 2017 as the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.
