Luxy: from artisan workshop to international leader

Luxy is a prime example of the recent evolution seen in many Italian companies that balance tradition with innovation. The company specializes in the production of design seating for offices and communal spaces, a craft it has been honing for 50 years from its base in Lonigo, in the province of Vicenza, while increasingly looking toward the international market.

Originally established as an artisan workshop, Luxy was acquired by the holding company Lunedes in 2020. Since then, it has become a renowned brand exporting to over 40 countries worldwide. Over time, the company has managed to revolutionize the office concept with contemporary and innovative solutions. Among these, Silente stands out: an innovative chair with an integrated sound source that eliminates the need for headphones and provides acoustic isolation from the surrounding environment. Silente, developed in collaboration with Net Data, was showcased at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Luxy collaborates with major multinational groups and has successfully diversified its clientele, even transcending traditional commercial boundaries. A notable example is the company’s success in securing the supply of seating for the G7 summit held in Biarritz, France, in 2019. New opportunities are now emerging in Asia, with orders coming in from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The company is also considering a future stock market listing.

Innovation and sustainability are key for Luxy, which recently achieved Level certification for office and non-domestic furniture. It is the first Italian seating manufacturer to receive this recognition, affirming its excellence in environmental, social, and workplace safety performance.
