Nimax expands its reach to Africa and Denmark

Nimax Spa, a Bologna-based leader in advanced marking, labeling, and inspection solutions, has made significant strides in its international expansion. The company has recently acquired the Danish company Domino System, marking a major milestone in its growth trajectory. This acquisition, along with the inclusion of Wichmann System, which operates in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, will see Nimax broaden its presence across new international markets.

Founded over 50 years ago, Nimax has grown from a small player with €12 million in revenue and 60 employees in 2009, to an industrial powerhouse generating €27 million in revenue with more than 100 employees across three Italian offices. The acquisition of Domino System not only solidifies Nimax’s international ambitions but also facilitates the creation of a comprehensive network that will extend its brand into East Africa, with operations in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Nicola Montanari, CEO of Nimax, shared his vision for the company’s future, emphasizing that Nimax’s approach is different from the traditional acquisition model. “Usually, smaller companies are seen as the targets in acquisitions. However, Nimax’s strategy is to grow from being a medium-sized business to becoming an important industrial group with a significant distribution network both within Europe and beyond”, Nicola Montanari explained.

With a consolidated revenue of approximately €40 million from its acquired companies, Nimax is aiming to surpass €50-55 million by 2030. The CEO also hinted at the potential for future acquisitions, signaling that the company’s growth strategy is far from over.

This expansion into new territories and sectors highlights Nimax’s commitment to strengthening its international foothold while continuing to provide cutting-edge solutions in the industrial production sector.
