Artá Capital invests in Viokox: a new chapter for the cosmetic company

Artá Capital is expanding its portfolio by acquiring a stake in Viokox, a family-owned cosmetics company based in Picassent, Valencia. With over 35 years of experience in the sector, Viokox has established itself as a key player in the formulation and production of cosmetics, generating approximately 40 million euros in annual revenue and an EBITDA of nearly six million euros. This strategic investment marks a significant step for both Artá Capital and Viokox, aiming to enhance growth and expand the company’s market presence.

Eduardo López, the prominent shareholder and president of Viokox, will continue to lead the company during this new phase. Artá Capital plans to bolster Viokox’s growth strategy through increased commitment to research and development, international expansion, improved customer service quality, and an expanded product range. Additionally, they will explore potential acquisitions of complementary companies to strengthen Viokox’s competitive position in the cosmetics sector. The ultimate goal is to transform Viokox into one of the leading platforms in the industry.

Viokox has built a strong foundation in the cosmetics market, boasting a diverse clientele that includes major retailers and international brands. Notably, almost 80% of its sales occur outside of Spain, showcasing the company’s robust geographical diversification. This global reach is further supported by a state-of-the-art production facility inaugurated in 2018, which involved an investment of 15 million euros.

The company investment strategy focuses on supporting the international growth of Iberian companies while collaborating with entrepreneurs and families. Viokox fits seamlessly into this strategy, offering significant growth potential and a well-established market presence. This investment is Artá Capital’s third commitment through its new fund, which has a final size of 400 million euros, following investments in Ferreira de Sá and Onix.

The partnership between Artá Capital and Viokox is poised to usher in a new era of growth and innovation. By leveraging Artá’s financial resources and strategic guidance, Viokox aims to enhance its product offerings and expand its footprint in the global cosmetics market. As the beauty industry continues to evolve, this collaboration represents a promising opportunity for both parties to capitalize on emerging trends and consumer demands.
